The UV7S, also known as the UV7 in the US, is a guitar model part of the Universe series, the 7-string signature series of guitarist Steve Vai. It has all the usual features of a UV model: a basswood body, DiMarzio Blaze II pickups and a Lo Pro Edge 7 tremolo.

The UV7S replaced the very similar UV7 in 1997. The green colored pickups, knobs and inlays of the UV7 were replaced for simple black and white ones for the UV7S to let it have a more common appeal for guitarists of other bands such as Korn and Fear Factory.

In 1998 it was replaced again with the more 'Vai-esque' UV777P. 1998 also saw the introduction of 7-string RG models, namely the RG7620 and RG7621.
