The TM1730P is a Talman series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in 2017. It is made in Japan by FujiGen as part of the Prestige line.

The TM1730P has an alder body bolted to a C-shaped maple neck with a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard with white dot position markers. Components include an ITL-PRO retro-styled synchronized tremolo bridge, three Seymour Duncan Five-Two single coil pickups mounted in a pearloid pickguard, a bone nut and Gotoh locking tuning machines.

Design elements

The headstock of the TM1730P features a straight-pull design, which allows the strings to come straight off the bone nut, thus eliminating the need for a string tree or a tilt-back design. The fretboard has a 12" (305mm) radius meaning it is flatter compared to traditional styled guitars from other brands which enhances the player's ability to bend notes and allows for a lower string action. The Fast Action neck joint improves access to the upper frets.

Related models

The TM1730 is a very similar model with a white pickguard. The TM1702P is a related model with a fixed bridge and no middle pickup.
