The TC740 is a Talman series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in 1997. The Talman series is a line of retro-styled guitars reminiscent of the Fender Telecaster.
The TC740 features an alder body bolted to a maple neck with a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard with dot position markers. Components include a covered Ibanez Vintage humbucking pickups in the bridge position along with Sky lipstick-style single coils in the middle and neck positions and a Gotoh synchronized tremolo bridge.
The TC740 was discontinued in 1998 along with the entire Talman series of this era.
