The SV420FM is an SV series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in 1996. It was made in Korea by Cort.

The SV series features the Viper neck which is thicker than the Wizard necks on the typical S series models.

The SV420FM features a mahogany body with flame maple top bolted to a maple Viper neck with a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard with dot position markers. Components include dual Ibanez Axis humbucking pickups and a synchronized tremolo bridge with gold finish.

The SV470 is a similar model with an added middle single coil pickup.

The SV420FM was discontinued after 1997.
