The S7420 is a seven string S series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in 2010. It was made in Indonesia.

It replaced the S7320, with the major difference being the change from a 22-fret to a 24-fret neck. Previously, all S models had 22 frets. In 2008 Ibanez introduced the first 24-fret S Prestige models based around the S5470. In 2010, all S models got a 24-fret neck.

The S7420 features a mahogany body bolted to a maple neck with a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard with pearloid dot position markers. Components include a pair of Ibanez Axis humbucking pickups and a ZR double locking tremolo bridge with a ball-bearing pivot and a removable ZPS2 tuning stabilizer.

A version of this model with quilted maple top, the S7420QM, was sold in 2012–2013.

The S7420 was discontinued after 2013.
