The S6CST is an S series solid body electric guitar introduced by Ibanez in 1999. It is made in Japan by FujiGen as part of the J Custom line. It is one of a small number of J Custom models that was available outside of Japan.
The S6CST was released in Japan as the S-PB1 and S-PB2; the only difference between these two models is the fret wire. When the decision was made to offer the guitar outside of Japan, it was given the S6CST moniker. It's unclear which frets the export models had.
The S6CST features a sapele body (listed by Ibanez as "sappeli mahogany") bolted to a maple Ultra neck with a 22-fret ebony fingerboard with mother of pearl dot position markers. Components include a double locking tremolo bridge with integrated piezo pickups (which allow an acoustic-like tone), DiMarzio pickups with a pair of humbuckers flanking a single-coil and Gotoh tuning machines. It has separate outputs for the magnetic and piezo pickups.
The S6CST was produced in limited numbers (perhaps as few as 24 units) and it was made only in 1999.
