The S5EX1 is an S series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in 2010. It was produced in Indonesia.

The S5EX1 features a mahogany body with a zebrawood top bolted to a maple Wizard II neck with a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard with binding and split oval position markers. Components include Ibanez Infinity pickups with a pair of black and cream "zebra" humbuckers flanking a single-coil and a ZR double locking tremolo bridge with a ZPS2 tuning stabilizer.

The S5EX1 was a spot model which was sold exclusively through the American musical instrument retailers Guitar Center and Musician's Friend. It first appeared in their August 2010 guitar catalog. The S770FM and S770PB are somewhat similar regular production models.
