The S540FML is a left-handed S series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in 1994.

The S540FML features a mahogany body with a flamed maple top and back bolted to a maple neck with a 22-fret bound rosewood fretboard with oval position markers. Components include a low-profile double locking tremolo bridge, a locking nut and Ibanez pickups.

The S540FM is a right-handed version.

This model never appeared in an Ibanez catalog and it's not known exactly how long production ran. The information presented here is based on individual examples that have been discovered.
