The S540-7 is a seven-string S series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in 1993. It was made in Japan by FujiGen. It replaced the very similar 540S7.

The S540-7 features a mahogany body bolted to a maple neck with a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard with pearloid dot position markers. Components include DiMarzio Blaze pickups with a humbucker at the bridge and single-coils in the middle and neck positions, a Lo Pro Edge 7 double locking tremolo bridge and Gotoh tuning machines.

The S540 is a similar six-string model.

The S540-7 was discontinued after 1993 and aside from the twin neck STW in 1999 another seven-string S series model wouldn't be introduced until the 2000 S7420.
