The S2170 is an S series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in 2008. It is part of the higher end Prestige line.
The S2170 features a mahogany body bolted to a maple and bubinga Wizard II neck with a 22-fret bound rosewood fingerboard. Components include a double locking tremolo bridge, a locking nut and Dimarzio IBZ pickups in an HSH configuration.
The S2170 is similar to the S2170FB and S2170FW introduced earlier, but does not have a decorative figured wood top. Instead, a chameleon 'flip flop' finish is applied to the body and headstock.
Like all Korean Prestige models, the S2170 was discontinued after 2008 in favor of the Japanese made Prestiges.
