The RVX220DX is a solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in 2006. It is part of the Rocket Roll series of V-shaped bodies which is under the X series banner. It replaced the RVX220.
The RVX series feature a more compact body which is based on Gibson's classic Flying V and Ibanez's earlier Rocket Roll models. Similar down-sized models of the classic Iceman (the ICX series) and Destroyer shapes (the DTX120) were also produced.
The RVX220DX features a basswood body mated to a maple neck with a 24-fret bound rosewood fingerboard with sharktooth inlays. Components include dual Ibanez Infinity humbucking pickups mounted in an aluminum pickguard and a fixed bridge and tailpiece.
The RVX220DX was discontinued after just one year of production, but a more full-sized V-shaped model, the VBT700, was introduced the following year.
