The RRG6 is an RG series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in 2008. It was made in Japan by FujiGen as part of the high end J Custom line. The RRG6 was a spot model created exclusively for the Japanese retailer Rock Inn.
The RRG6 features a light ash body bolted to a maple and walnut Super Wizard neck with VelveTouch finish and a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard with Tree of Life inlays. Components include DiMarzio pickups with a pair of humbuckers flanking a single-coil, an Edge Zero double locking tremolo bridge with removable tuning stabilizer and Gotoh tuning machines.
The RRG4 and RRG5 are nearly identical models which differ only in the finishes.
The RRG6 was available in 2008 only in Lemon Yellow. A second finish, Flamingo Pink with black binding, was added for 2009.
