The RGD2127FX is a seven-string RGD series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in mid 2013. It was made in Japan by FujiGen as part of the upscale Prestige line.
The RGD series feature a body that is based on the RG series but adds bevels on the body edges and horns. The RGD models also have 26½" scale necks.
The RGD2127FX features a basswood body bolted to a titanium reinforced maple and wenge neck with a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard with small white dot position markers. Components include Ibanez V77 Custom and V87 Custom humbucking pickups, a Tight-End R-7 fixed bridge, a Graph Tech TUSQ nut and Gotoh tuning machines.
The RGD2127Z is a similar model with a tremolo bridge.
