The RG8527Z is a seven-string RG series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in 2010. It is the first seven-string that is a part of the handcrafted-in-Japan J Custom line since the 2007 RG8427F.

The RG8527Z features an African mahogany body with a flamed maple top and binding bolted to a maple and wenge neck with a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard with flamed maple binding and a Tree of Life inlay. Components include dual DiMarzio PAF 7 humbucking pickups, an Edge Zero 7 tremolo bridge with removable zero point system tuning stabilizer and Gotoh tuning machines.

The RG8527SP is a similar limited production model with a spalted maple top and gold hardware.

The RG8527Z was discontinued after 2016
