The RG5SP2 is an RG series solid body electric guitar model offered by Ibanez in 2009. It was also referred to in some cases as simply the RG5SP. It was a spot model which was sold exclusively by American music retailer Guitar Center.

The RG5SP2 features a basswood body bolted to a maple neck with a gloss black painted reverse headstock and a 24-fret bound rosewood fingerboard with black pearloid sharktooth position markers. Components include Ibanez Infinity pickups with a pair of humbuckers flanking a single-coil and an Edge III double locking tremolo bridge with a locking nut.

The RG5SP2 was produced for only a few months.
