The RG530 is a Roadstar series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in 1986. The Roadstar series would eventually become known as the RG series.
The RG530 has the rounded-edge body style and swoopy, rounded headstock of the older Roadstar body.
The RG530 features a basswood body with a flamed maple top bolted to a maple neck with a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard with dot inlays. Components include dual Ibanez IBZ humbucking pickups with individual volume controls and Duo-Sound coil-tap functionality and an Edge double locking tremolo bridge with a locking nut.
The RG525 is a similar model without the flame maple top. The RG600 is a related model with active pickups and a hard-tail bridge
The RG530 was discontinued after just one year in production.
