The RG462 is a Roadstar series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in 1989. The Roadstar series would later become known as the RG series.

The RG462 features a basswood body bolted to a maple neck with a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard with dot position makers. Components include Ibanez pickups with a humbucker at the bridge and single-coils at the neck and middle positions, an Edge double locking tremolo bridge with a locking nut and Gotoh tuning machines.

The RG540 is a somewhat similar model.

The RG462 was available only in Japan and was discontinued after 1989.
