The RG450DX is an RG series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in 2013. A previous model with the same name had been produced in the mid-1990s.

This RG450DX features a basswood body bolted to a three-piece maple Wizard II neck with a 24-fret bound rosewood fingerboard with sharktooth position markers. Components include Ibanez Infinity pickups in an HSH configuration, an Edge Zero II double locking tremolo bridge and a locking nut.

From 2013, the Edge Zero II no longer includes the ZPS3 zero-point system on non-Prestige models. It is replaced by a conventional 3 springs/claw setup.

The RG450DXBL is a left-handed version. Similar models are the RG450DXB (black hardware and a white finish), the RG470DXB (no pickguard and black hardware) and the RG450M (maple fretboard).

This version of the RG450DX was replaced for 2015 by another model with the same name, but with significantly different specs.
