The RG440P is a Roadstar II series model which was offered by Ibanez in 1987.

Despite the RG name, the RG440P has a Power series body and could more correctly be considered part of that line. It is essentially a budget version of the Roadstar Pro series 540P model with features similar to the RG440.

The RG440P features a basswood body bolted to a maple neck with a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard with dot position markers. Components include Ibanez pickups with a Vintage humbucker at the bridge and Super 8 single-coils in the middle and neck positions and an Edge double locking tremolo bridge.

The RG440P was discontinued after only one year in production.
