The Ibanez RG2EX1 is a hard-tail RG series electric guitar model introduced in 2005. Features include a basswood body with white binding, two humbucking pickups and a standard Fixed Bridge. The IBZ by EMG pickups were discontinued in 2008; they were replaced by Ibanez made covered V7 and V8 pickups. The RG2EX1 is only sold at the American musical instrument store chain Guitar Center. A similar guitar model is available in Europe as the RGR321EX and in Japan as the IRG1. A white-finished version is available as the RG2EX2 and a tremolo-equipped version as the RG2EXT1, both also Guitar Center exclusives.
