The RG2550E is an RG series solid body electric guitar introduced by Ibanez in 2005. It is made in Japan as part of the Prestige line.

It replaced the RG2550EX, now with a five-piece neck and smaller inlays. Other features include a basswood body, DiMarzio IBZ pickups and the Edge Pro tremolo.

In 2007, the RG2550E was visually updated with fingerboard binding and wedge sharktooth inlays. In 2008, it was replaced by the RG2550Z featuring the new Edge Zero tremolo.
