The Ibanez RG2450MZ is an RG seriesPrestige guitar model introduced in 2008. It was introduced as part of the 2008 Limited Edition series, along with the similar RG2470MZ. It is based on the RG2550Z, but features a maple fingerboard with dot inlays.
The RG2450MZ and the RG2470MZ were the first RG models produced with maple fingerboards since the 2004 RG1550. Maple fingerboards finally returned in the regular production lineup in 2009 with no less than 10 new RG models, including the RG2550MZ.
The RG2450MZ returned in the regular lineup for Japan only in 2010.
Other features of the RG2450MZ include a basswood body, DiMarzio IBZ pickups and the Edge Zero tremolo.
