The RG1712 is an RG series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in 1997. It is part of the Japanese handcrafted J Custom line.

It features a mahogany body with a quilted maple top, two DiMarzio humbucking pickups and a Lo-Pro Edge tremolo bridge.

A similar model with a flamed maple top was released as the RG1702.
