The RG1702 is an RG series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in 1997. It is made in Japan by FujiGen as part of the upscale J Custom line.

The RG1702 features a mahogany body with a flamed maple top bolted to a maple neck with a rosewood fingerboard with offset dot position markers. Components include dual DiMarzio humbucking pickups, a Lo-Pro Edge double locking tremolo bridge and Gotoh tuning machines.

The RG1712 is a similar model with a quilted maple top. The RG1802 is another similar model with a bound fingerboard.

The RG1702 was discontinued after 1998.
