The RG1702 is an RG series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in 1997. It is part of the Japanese handcrafted J Custom range.

The RG1702 features a mahogany body with a flamed maple top bolted to a maple neck with a rosewood fingerboard with offset dot position markers. Components include dual DiMarzio humbucking pickups and a Lo-Pro Edge tremolo bridge.

A similar model with a quilted maple top was released as the RG1712 and another with fingerboard binding as the RG1802.
