The RG1520A is an RG series solid body electric guitar model offered by Ibanez in mid-2009. It was made in Japan as part of the Prestige line and was part of a 2009 Limited Edition series which also included the RG1527M and RG2620Z for Europe.

The RG1520A features a basswood body bolted to a maple and walnut Wizard Prestige neck with a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard with small dot position markers. Components include dual DiMarzio/Ibanez humbucking pickups mounted directly to the body without pickup rings, an Edge Pro double locking tremolo bridge with a locking nut, and Gotoh tuning machines.

The RG1570 is a related model that adds a single coil pickup between the humbuckers. The RG1527 is a related seven-string model.

The RG1520 was a spot model which never appeared in a catalog. It was discontinued after 2011.
