A Lo-Pro Edge 7 tremolo on a UV77RE Enlarge sprite

The Ibanez Lo-Pro Edge (sometimes written as Lo Pro Edge, or just Lo Pro) is a double locking tremolo that was first introduced in 1991, that was fitted on high-end models except the RG5xx, RG7xx, JS, and FGM models, which continued to have the original Edge. In 1992, it became the standard tremolo for all high-end models. In 1997 select high-end RG models reverted back to the original Edge.

This model tremolo was also made for Ibanez guitar models with seven strings. These were called Lo-Pro Edge 7.

Both the Edge and the Lo-Pro Edge were replaced in 2003 in favor of the Edge Pro.
