The GSZ220A is an SZ series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in 2010. It replaced both the GSZ120 and GSZ220FM as the sole SZ model in the affordable GIO line. The GSZ220A was a spot model which never appeared in a catalog.

The GSZ220A has a standard SZ arched top body rather than the (presumably cheaper to produce) flat-topped bodies of its GIO SZ predecessors.

It features a basswood body bolted to a maple neck with a 22-fret bound rosewood fingerboard with dot position markers. Components include dual Ibanez humbucking pickups and a fixed bridge with tailpiece.

The GSZ220A was replaced for 2012 by the similar GSZ220.
