The GRG121EX is an RG series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in 2006. It is part of the entry-level GIO line.

The GRG121EX features a basswood body bolted to a maple neck with a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard with dot position markers. Components include a pair of covered Ibanez humbucking pickups and a hard-tail bridge.

The GRG121EX is sold as a part of the GRG121EXJ Jumpstart package as a 2009 limited edition model in the EU. It is also part of the IJX121 Jumpstart package solid in the USA. Both packages contain a practice amp, gig bag, cable, strap and various accessories in addition to the guitar.

It is similar to the GRG121 but features covered pickups. The GRG121DX is a similar model with sharktooth inlays. The GRG120EX is a related hard-tail model.

This GRG121EX was discontinued after 2011. Another guitar with the same name was introduced in 2015.
