The S2009SC is a limited edition S series solid body electric guitar model offered by Ibanez in 2009. It was made in Japan by FujiGen as part of the Prestige series. It was offered as part of the 2009 Show Case along with the SV2009SC.
The S2009SC features a camphor body with silverworks body inlays bolted to a maple and walnut neck with a 24-fret indian rosewood fingerboard with special fireworks silver inlays at the fifth and twelfth frets. Components include Ibanez pickups with a pair of Hot Grinder humbuckers flanking a Short Tracer single-coil, a ZR2 double locking tremolo bridge with a ZPS3 tuning stabilizer and Gotoh tuning machines.
The S100SPL is a similar model with even more extensive ornamentation which was offered as an extremely limited edition to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Ibanez's parent company Hoshino Gakki. The S5470 is a related regular production model with a more typical mahogany body and without the silver flourishes and extra ornamentation.
The S2009SC was limited to 50 units and offered only in 2009.
