The RGT42DXFM is an RG series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in 2005.

The RGT42DXFM features neck through body construction with mahogany body wings and a flamed maple top attached to a maple and walnut neck with a 24-fret bound rosewood fingerboard with deluxe sharktooth position markers. Components include dual Ibanez Infinity humbucking pickups and an Edge III double locking tremolo bridge.

The RGT42DX is a similar model without the exotic top. The RGT42FM is a similar model with white dot position markers.

The RGT42DXFM was discontinued after 2010.
