The RG8470Z is an RG series solid body electric guital model offered by Ibanez in 2008. It is a continuation of the RG8470F with a mahogany body with flamed maple top and binding, DiMarzio pickups and maple bound rosewood fingerboard, but features the new Edge Zero tremolo also introduced in 2008.
The RG8470Z was replaced by the RG8570Z featuring a new middle pickup. A few Ishibashi shop exclusive models based on the RG8470Z with alternate finishes were issued as the IRG8470Z in 2008.
