The RG542AH is an RG series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez for 1996. It was made in Japan by FujiGen.

The RG542AH features an ash body bolted to a maple neck with a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard with dot position markers. Components include a pair of Ibanez humbucking pickups, an Edge double locking tremolo bridge and Gotoh tuning machines.

The RG547AH is a similar model with the addition of a middle single coil pickup.

The RG542AH was produced only in 1996.
