The GRG270 is an RG series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez for 2003. It was one of the initial models in the entry-level GIO line. Prior to 2003 it was known as the RG270.

It is among the most affordable RG models featuring a double locking tremolo. Other features include a basswood body bolted to a maple neck with a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard with binding dot position markers and Ibanez pickups with a pair of humbuckers mounted in pickup rings flanking a single-coil.

From 2008 through 2010, two different versions were produced for different markets: a version with an ILT1 tremolo and a version with an Edge III tremolo. Several changes were introduced for 2018 including a poplar body, treated New Zealand pine fretboard (without binding) and the Standard DL tremolo.

The GRG270B is a very similar model without the fingerboard binding which was made in Indonesia and sold in Europe. The GRG270DX is another similar model with sharktooth inlays. The GRG270 was also sold as part of a Jumpstart kit with an amp and other accessories as the GRG270J.

The GRG270 was discontinued after 2018. A new version with the same name was reintroduced for 2021.
