The FRM250MF is a Fireman series solid body electric guitar introduced by Ibanez in 2014. It was designed with American guitarist Paul Gilbert as part of his signature series and was produced in China.
The FRM250MF was introduced at the 2014 Winter NAMM Show as a limited edition in honor of Gilbert's 25th year as an Ibanez endorser. Ibanez also referred to the model in some materials as simply the FRM25 or as the FRM250.
The FRM250MF features a flamed maple top with white binding on a chambered mahogany body mated to a set-in mahogany and maple neck with a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard with binding and dot position markers. Components include a Tune-o-matic style fixed bridge and tailpiece, Gotoh tuners, Graph Tech TUSQ man-made ivory nut and DiMarzio pickups mounted in a black pickguard with a pair of humbuckers flanking a single-coil. The tone control is active only in the 3, 4, 5 pickup positions.
Each FRM250MF included a certificate of authenticity signed by Gilbert and came with a custom hard-shell case. It was offered only in 2014.
