The 540S7 is a seven-string S series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in 1991. It was made in Japan by FujiGen

The 540S7 was the first seven-string guitar in the S series as well as the first Ibanez seven-string model outside the Universe series. It features a mahogany body bolted to a maple neck with a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard with pearl dot position markers. Components include DiMarzio Blaze pickups with a humbucker at the bridge and single-coils in the middle and neck positions, a Lo Pro Edge 7 double locking tremolo bridge and Gotoh tuning machines.

The 540S7 was replaced after 1992 by the S540-7.
