The SC420CM is an S Classic series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in 1999.

The S Classic body is described as a marriage of the S series and the classic Radius, although it has few actual similarities with the Radius.

The SC420CM features a mahogany body with a curly maple top bolted to a 25.1" (638mm) scale maple neck with a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard with pearl dot position markers. Components include a fixed bridge and dual Ibanez Vintage humbucking pickups.

The SC620 is a similar model with a flamed maple top and the SC420 is another similar model which lacks and exotic top.

The SC420CM was discontinued after 2002.
