The Ibanez FR1620 is an FR seriesPrestige electric guitar model first issued in 2008. It was introduced along with the FR2620 as the first FR model, with a new body shape reminiscent of the Fender Telecaster. Also new is the Tight End hard-tail bridge used on the FR models.
Other features of the FR1620 include an ash body and Ibanez made Calm Crusher pickups. In 2010, the standard Wizard neck was replaced by the new Wizard HP neck.
