The EX140L is a left-handed EX series solid body electric guitar introduced by Ibanez in 1991. It was made in Korea and was sold only in the United States.

This EX140L features a basswood body mated to a one-piece maple neck with a traditional neck joint with a metal plate. It has a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard with dot position markers. The pickups are an Ibanez EX humbuckers at the bridge and EX single coils in the middle and neck positions. Other components include a synchronized tremolo bridge.

The EX140 is a right-handed version. The EX170L (maple fretboard) is a similar model with a humbucking pickup in the neck position and a maple fretboard.
