Custom Advanced Pickups (CAP) are a line of magnetic guitar pickups designed by Ibanez and produced by Ibanez and their suppliers. They are offered in a wide range of guitar models.

Description: The CCR1 "Calm Crusher neck" was introduced in 2008 along with the FR series. It was renamed the CAP-CCR1 in 2011.

They "don't have the same heat of ceramic magnets, but still have the power to cut through the mix."[1] "They feature a clear and grainy high range"[2] while bringing "more punch to the midrange tones."[3]

The CAP-CL pickups "can handle a wide range of sounds from pure clean tones to aggressive distortion sounds."[4]

Description: The CAP-LZ pickups were introduced with the RGA Prestige models in 2011, replacing the LoZ pickups. The LZ1 neck pickup is paired with the LZ2 bridge.

They "feature low noise, wide dynamic range, and a powerful yet clear humbucker sound."[5] They "deliver an aggressive tone, while minimizing the noise, even when played with a high gain setting. "[They] cover very wide range, and offer powerful, rich mid-tones."[6]

Description: CAP-VK1 neck pickup is paired with CAP-VK2 bridge. High output pickup designed for down-tuning. Introduced in 2011 for the RGD series. CAP-VK17 is a version for seven string guitars. The VK1-DT is a very similar predecessor with silver rather than black pole pieces which this pickup replaced.

"By employing the pickup magnet strength in various ways, output at the neck is perfectly balanced with high output at the bridge. These pickups are designed to increase reverberation on lower tones, making them excellent for down tuning."[8] "High output, specially designed for downtuning.
