The Andy Timmons series is a signature line of solid body electric guitar models offered by Ibanez. It is the signature guitar series of Andy Timmons, an American guitarist. The guitars in the series are among the most similar to a Fender Stratocaster as Ibanez has produced since the demise of the Blazer series in 1998.

History Edit

The first Andy Timmons model made publicly available was the AT100. It was based on the RG body shape but has a Stratocaster-like look including a vintage-style tremolo, pickguard, maple neck and single coil-sized humbucking pickups in the neck and middle positions. It also has a thicker neck than most Ibanez guitars. The AT100 was produced for only a brief perion in 1999 and was available in very limited numbers.

The first widely available models in the series were the AT200 and AT300 which were both introduced in 2004. These were based on the SA series body but still had some of the key features of the AT100, including the tremolo, pickup configuration and control setup. The AT200 was a more affordable version of the AT300, the latter having DiMarzio pickups, Wilkinson tremolo and fancier inlays instead of Ibanez parts. Both were discontinued after 2007.

The series returned in 2009 with a reissue of the AT100, which is now the AT100CL.

In 2013 the AT10P was added, which is similar to the AT100CL in terms of design, but built to a more accessible price point. As opposed to the Japanese-made AT100CL, the AT10P is crafted in Indonesia as part of the Premium line.

The AT10RP was added to the lineup in 2015. It is similar to the AT10P but has a rosewood rather than maple fretboard.
