The Ibanez 540PSH is a Power series guitar model, introduced in 1989 as part of the Roadstar Pro series, with a production run of two years. Features include a basswood body, two DiMarzio made IBZ/USA pickups, a 22-fret Wizard neck and an Edge tremolo. Although these guitars are not signature models, they were strongly associated with guitarist Alex Skolnick of Testament fame.

Multiple versions of the Power model were introduced in 1988 and 1989: two 24-fret models were introduced in 1988 as the 540PⅡ-HH and 540PⅡ-SH and originally issued in Japan and Europe only. The 540PSH and 540PHH were introduced in 1989 in the US. The new Power models replaced the original, differently shaped 540P models.
