Special features of the Gibraltar Custom are the increased intonation travel and a metal 'sustain block' below the bridge, routed into the body.

The Gibraltar Custom is solely a guitar bridge, meaning that it does not anchor the strings to the body itself. Therefore it has to be combined with a separate tailpiece like the [[Quik Change III]] or has to be used in a string-through-body setup like with the [[MMM1]].

The '''Gibraltar Standard''' is a [[hard-tail]] bridge used on Ibanez guitar models. It is a simplified version of the smoother [[Gibraltar Plus]] bridge, but unlike that bridge the Gibraltar Standard is a string-through-body bridge meaning that strings are fed through the guitar's body to be attached at the bridge side.

It was introduced for the new non-Japanese made [[RGA]] models in 2009; previously only Japanese made RGAs were available with the Gibraltar Plus bridge. It is also used on the RGA-based [[MBM2]] Matt Bachand signature model.

For 2010 use of the Gibraltar Standard bridge has been expanded to other non-Prestige RG models, including the [[RG321MH]], [[RGR321EX]] and [[RGT6EXFX]].

The '''Gibraltar Plus''' is a [[hard-tail]] bridge used on Ibanez guitar models. It is a combination of a [[Gibraltar III]] bridge and a [[Quik Change]] tailpiece in one unit. It allows a wide range of intonation adjustment needed for heavy gauge strings.

It was introduced specially for the new [[RGA]] series in 2005; it has been used on all Japanese made hard-tail RGA models since its introduction, inluding the [[MBM1]] Matt Bachand signature model. For other RGAs Ibanez introduced the [[Gibraltar Standard]] in 2009.
